ALUVA URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Aluva has been a historic market city and was the edge of Travancore Kingdom. Currently Aluva is developed commercially, but it hasn't been in the top considering the developmental trends of Ernakulam. In this regard Aluva Municipality conducted a design development scheme for future ALuva. This was also a part of Future Cities Mission by Atkins. We collaborated with Municipality in providing design solutions to this mission. For the pilot project area near bus stand was taken and developed. Our proposals include a sky walk from bus stand to New metro station, New parking tower at metro, development of parking spaces and pedestrian walks underneath metro lines and providing a good urban realm for the public. 

The project was well accepted and was delivered to public by then chief Minister Ummen Chandy and was submitted to KMRL for execution. A part of the project is already executed by KMRL directly and other portions are in the pipeline.
